Alexa Traffic Rating

When we first started this site, it was "just for fun". Over the past month, it has become a hobby (that is unfortunately interfering with my MBA) that has allowed me to study, research, and learn more about search engine optimization (SEO), internet advertising keyworks, pay-per-click programs, PageRank, Alexa traffic rank, and a host of many other obscure topics.

After reading a couple blogs about Alexa traffic rank, I realized "I don't even know what is my rank." So, off to http://www.alexa.com/ where I downloaded their toolbar. To my dismay (although it was half expected), my rank was in the millions, 15,781,310 to be exact. Wow! That's what I said to myself.

So now I am on a search to scour the interwebs looking for tips on how to increase (or decrease depending on how you look at) my Alexa traffic rank.

If anyone has any advice or suggestions, it is much appreciated. Otherwise, I am off to search and I'll try to remember to post back on what I find. I also plan to write here more often (in this and other voices) to report results (hopefully improvements) to my traffic rank.

it's been a couple weeks

it's been a couple weeks since i've made an update here... while i like blogger a lot, i've found that it is easier (faster) to make quick status updates on twitter (http://twitter.com/kendoku)... so for more day-to-day updates, check us out on twitter... but that's not to say that we won't still be here... so check us out here too from time-to-time...

we made more updates to the site:
- added more games, there are now over 500 games
- improved scoring to show hints, right, and wrong
- incorporated a timer for the games

just finished adding more puzzles to both the 4x4 and 6x6 games. there are now over 500 games available to play. enjoy.

based on comments that http://www.webkendoku.com does not work in chrome, we have enabled some browser detection and now redirect chrome visitors to a chrome-friendly page that have functional games.

Just launched a new site, www.webkendoku.com. here you can play a new and highly addicting game online. It is loosely based on killer sudoku and goes by a number of names including kendoku, KenKen™, square wisdom, and/or latincalc.
